"One Malaysia" or "Satu Malaysia" is a sacred motto for all the Malaysian that is believe the best way to unify the multi-races loyal citizen of Malaysia. Thanks to YB Dato' Seri Panglima Mohd. Najib Razak, who is the key person that promoted that such a culture among us.
For me, that idea is brilliant, promote us to talk in one common language regardless on the different we had since the age of colonial. But, my personal opinion is, in peninsula seems this concept is far cry to achieve its goal. The progress is there, but it is too slow for every single one of them to catch it real deep. I don't have any idea what's going to happen to "One Malaysia" in the next 10 years or longer. Just the two words that will stand the test of time not the practice, perhaps.
On the last April, 22, 2012 witnessed a vast new perception about "One Malaysia" concept. On that day, I really witnessed an amazing truly practicing of "One Malaysia" motto occurred at Dewan Sa'adiah, Wisma MUIS, Sabah. There, you can see by yourself all kids regardless the background, religious beliefs and ethnicity unite as one common icon of truly Malaysian wearing multiple customs outfit to represent the multi-colored races and ethnic in Malaysia and Sabah dancing to the enjoyable music. What a fascinating event.
Looking at the kids happily receive the trophy regardless of its color make another excitement to be shared of. Yes, the kids know nothing about the different of skin color and racial background not like the adults always put the different between them in a big picture instead of seeking the common point.
Proudly to say, my little cousin, Ikin, helps their kindergarten to hold the runner up of the "Ewah-Ewah Sayang" competition organised by Jabatan Perpaduan Negara Putatan and Penampang districts. The event was officiated by Datin Mary Wong.

In peninsula, there are three major ethnic namely Malay (the largest), Chinese and Indian that shape the community there. The thing is that these three dominant ethnic are too boast for their desire to be better than the others and as a result, they are starting to grow selfish in their hearts at the same time ignoring the important of sharing and harmonious between different community.
The different here in Sabah is there is no dominant ethnic that shape the community. Although Kadazan, Bajau, Malay, Chinese and Bugis are quite dominant followed by the immigrants from Philippines, Pakistanese and Arabs they form a very unique mixed up generation that landscaped the community of Sabah today.
Living in Sabah is a very peaceful and harmony lifestyles far too cry from the hassle and dog eat dog world outside there in peninsula. For me, Sabah is a place where the "ONE MALAYSIA" concept is really lives! This is what I'm talking about...
